The Lahey Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is a dynamic and innovative academic department with an established focus on clinical quality, fellowship training, and clinical research. Within the department, the Section of Vascular Medicine has been a leader in the evaluation and treatment of patients with complex peripheral vascular disease, venous thromboembolic disease, vasculitides, and complex cardiovascular risk factor management. Vascular Medicine is a major component of The Landsman Heart and Vascular Center, which is recognized nationally and internationally as a center of excellence in the treatment of patients with heart and vascular diseases. The Center offers a strong collaborative environment with a team of cardiologists, vascular medicine specialists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and vascular surgeons working side by side to provide the full spectrum of noninvasive cardiology, vascular, heart failure, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and advanced cardiovascular imaging services. The Department offers fellowship training in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and general cardiology, and is engaged in over 65 clinical trials and performs 5000 cath and EP lab procedures annually. The successful candidate must have a record of outstanding clinical leadership, a collaborative leadership style, excellent organizational and communication skills, and an interest in pursuing a clinical and growing the vascular medicine practice. A track record in clinical research is highly desirable. Mentoring of faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students is expected. As a physician leader in a multispecialty integrated practice you will work with other leaders of Lahey Clinic to ensure we continue to provide outstanding medical care to our patients while serving as a resource of healthcare excellence to the wider community. This position includes a faculty appointment to Tufts University School of Medicine at a rank commensurate with experience and academic productivity.
