Cincinnati, Ohio. Division Chief, Vascular Services. The Position: The Division Chief will lead the Division of Vascular Services of The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Center and will direct vascular research efforts at The Carl & Edyth Lindner Center for Research and Education. The position has a dual reporting relationship: Ian Sarembock, MB, CHB, MD, FACC, the Service Line Executive Medical Director, The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Center; and to Dean Kereiakes, MD, FACC, the Executive Medical Director of the Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Center who additionally serves as the Executive Medical Director of the Carl and Edyth Lindner Center for Research and Education at The Christ Hospital. Key Charges: The Division Chief role is a leadership position requiring collaboration with subspecialists to develop a multi-disciplinary vascular service. Subspecialists providing patient care include interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, and interventional cardiologists. There is an expectation for the ideal candidate to bring a research and education focus to the vascular division. The chosen candidate will be prepared to suggest models for a comprehensive vascular center and successfully work with service line leadership to develop and implement a business plan. An additional challenge will be expansion and development of the vascular service and procedure base. Prior experience as a Department Chair, Medical Staff Committee Chair, or in other equivalent Medical Staff leadership positions is highly preferred as is 'out-of-hospital' education in medical staff leadership, quality and patient safety, credentialing and privileging from training organizations such as the Institute of Healthcare Improvement or the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE). The candidate will be an MD or DO; have (or be eligible to obtain) an unrestricted Ohio license; hold current board certification; and be eligible to join the hospital's medical staff. Five to seven years of clinical experience and three years of leadership are highly preferred. Compensation: A highly competitive compensation and benefits package exists.
