St. Luke’s Magic Valley Infectious Disease opportunity Twin Falls, ID

St. Luke’s Health System is currently seeking a BC/BE Infectious Disease physician at St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls, ID. The selected provider will function independently with support staff to help us open our first Infectious Disease 4.5 days per week clinic. Full clinic structure with inpatient consults as needed on referral basis only. Hospital Employed with generous base compensation and opportunity for quality and production incentives. In addition, recruitment incentives may include: sign-obonus, student loan repayment, fellowship stipend,and relocation coverage.

Seeking a candidate who has an interest in the following:

• Research patient medical history to identify possible causes or places of infection to include international travel, interaction with an infected person or peoples, and activities that may increase patient risk for contracting the disease like unprotected sex or intravenous drug use.
• Perform physicals to identify exactly where the disease is affecting the patient’s body and what weaknesses the patient may have to overcoming the disease.
• Order and read a variety of tests that the patient undergoes to further identify the specifics of the disease including where it is in the body and how it is presenting, to include x-rays, blood cultures, urine samples, etc.
• Determine how contagious a disease is in order to develop a treatment plan that will reduce the risk of the disease spreading to other individuals. 
• Recommend treatment which may include anti-biotic, anti-fungal, and/or antiviral medications injections, and even surgeries to remove the disease.
• HIV infusion and antibiotic treatments, Hep C, non-invasive wound care, travel medicine
