Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery       

Albany Medical College is actively recruiting two (2) full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible General Thoracic Surgeons at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level for the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Albany Medical Center. We are seeking academically focused surgeons with outstanding clinical skills for these positions in our growing practice. One position will be more engaged at Albany Medical Center Hospital and the second at Saratoga Hospital. Albany Med offers an environment of academic inquiry, cutting-edge technology, and minimally invasive approaches, clinical or basic research support, and strong mentorship.

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is dynamic and innovative in providing high-quality care to our patients (mortality rate for Lobectomy is 0% versus 0.9% for the STS), utilizing minimally invasive techniques in an academic environment. Our goal is to be a leader in developing advances in cardiothoracic surgery with clinical trials and educating the next generation of surgeons with our competitive ACGME-approved Thoracic Surgery Residency program. The Division is composed of three sections: Adult Cardiac, General Thoracic, and Congenital.
