Director, ART/Andrology Laboratory

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) is recruiting for a full-time on-site laboratory director. We are seeking an experienced lab director to manage a practice averaging about 150 cycles annually. We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of IVF experience and a minimum of 3 years directing a reproductive laboratory. The candidate must hold a PhD in a biological science and be board certified (HCLD from ABB preferred). It is expected that the candidate be proficient in all procedures attendant to the IVF lab, have broad experience with CAP accreditation and be conversant with FDA regulations. Competence in performing and supervising embryology procedures such as vitrification, ICSI, assisted hatching and trophectoderm biopsy is expected. The lab director is expected to cover IVF case work as needed and to participate in weekend and holiday rotations with lab staff. The successful candidate will also possess extremely competent administrative, supervisory and interpersonal and communication skills.

GMC, located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.  GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region’s only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women’s health (in the Women’s Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics.  The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
