  The department of Pain Medicine at Geisinger Health System is seeking a physician to assist with medication management in an innovative, multidisciplinary pain practice.

 The multidisciplinary Pain Program (MPP) team uses a multidisciplinary approach utilizing counseling, medication adjustments, and when appropriate, care coordination with subspecialties.

 

    • Board Certification in Pain Medicine required. Certification in Addiction Medicine preferred.

    • Nationally known for innovation and leadership in medicine, and offers a competitive salary, benefits and relocation package.

    • Physician should be able to distinguish between addiction and appropriate use of opioids for chronic pain patients

    • Program expansion and leadership skills are essential

    • Clinical responsibility along with assisting program development and didactic curriculum to educate providers within Geisinger Health to appropriately manage pain medication for chronic pain patients

The Interventional PainCenter provides diagnosis and treatment of pain problems in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art outpatientcenter. Geisinger Health System serves more than 3 million people throughout Pennsylvania. The highly integrated electronic health record connects a comprehensive network of 12 hospital campuses, 43community practice sites and nearly 1,600 Geisinger primary and specialty care physicians.
