  5. The director will be dually responsible for achieving programmatic excellence as a senior faculty leader as well as maintaining financial viability of the program under the direction of the Vice Chair of Research and in conjunction with the department/division administrator.
  6. In collaboration with their colleague Division Chiefs, annually set Health Services Research goals for each related faculty and respective productivity targets on an individual basis and review through the evaluation process throughout the year.
  7. Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and promotion of Health Services Research Program designed to deliver better patient outcomes and work toward making clinical care delivery perform at the highest quality and value.
  8. Partner with the Chair and Division Chiefs as they recruit new clinical and research faculty to identify faculty with current or promising careers in health services research. One of the key responsibilities of the Director will be to partner with faculty leadership in the promotion and mentorship of identified health service research faculty following current Emory guidelines.
