The Division of Emergency Psychiatry at Northwell Health and Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine is seeking Adult and Pediatric Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrists. The emergency psychiatry position is situated within the Emergency Psychiatry Service at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. The role includes direct clinical service delivery, as well as the supervision of medical students and residents from the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.

The Emergency Psychiatry service conducts over 9,000 visits each year in a dedicated behavioral health space with a 24/7 interdisciplinary team of faculty, trainees, social workers, and ACPs.  Full time (13 shifts/month) and Part time (8 shifts/month) positions are available. Academic appointments at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine are also available for interested/qualified applicants.

Long Island Jewish Medical Center is a 488-bed tertiary care facility with an annual volume of over 90,000 Emergency Room visits.  The 48-acre campus of Long Island Jewish Medical Center includes a total of 888 beds, including Cohen Children's Medical Center and Zucker Hillside Psychiatric Hospital.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
