A hospital in Florida needs a psychiatrist who is available to cover a three-month locum tenens assignment. This is a 21-bed adult inpatient unit where the locum will see 3 - 4 patients per day for psychiatric treatment or medication management assistance. This position will task the locum with caring for individuals suffering from schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, or those who are acutely suicidal. The locum can also expect to see some substance abuse cases on this assignment. Additionally, the psychiatrist can also expect 0 - 2 admissions/discharges working an 8am - 5pm shift. Hours worked on this assignment are 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, with call coverage beginning at 5pm and continuing until 8am the next day.
