The Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the NCI-designated Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC) are recruiting for a full-time Blood and Marrow Transplantation position. The program currently performs approximately 120 transplants annually with particular focus on hematopoietic malignancies. The Program is interactive with other clinical and research programs and there is a dedicated, newly renovated and fully staffed clinical transplantation unit. Active research programs in immunogenetics, immunotherapy, molecular genetics, drug resistance, and hematopoiesis interact with the BMTP. Responsibilities will include rounding on the BMT inpatient service, outpatient longitudinal patient care and consultations, teaching and mentoring of BMT fellows, residents, and medical students, and research focusing on clinical trials and experimental therapeutics. Experience in allogeneic and autologous transplantation is required. Faculty rank and tenure status commensurate with experience. A strong track record of peer reviewed clinical or laboratory research desirable; candidates must be board certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
