  LOCATION: Guthrie, Sayre, Pennsylvania

 

Geisinger Health System is seeking BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalists to join a new program at Guthrie Clinic located in Sayre, PA

The successful candidates will staff a 2 bed inpatient unit. The candidates will provide emergency medicine consults and have nursery responsibilities for a level one nursery with 900 deliveries/year.

The Guthrie pediatric hospitalist program is part of a successful community hospitalist network that serves children across our region. Expectations are for future growth of the Guthrie program with committed support from Geisinger’s Department of Pediatrics.

Candidates will be active in developing and implementing best practice parameters. Candidates will be invited to participate in all pediatric scholarly activities promoted by the Department of Pediatrics and the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.

Schedule is seven days on, seven days off.  There is a leadership option for the experienced and qualified candidate.

About the Department of Pediatrics and Janet Weis Children’s Hospital:

·         Is a 91 bed, 4 floor children’s hospital located on the campus of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.

·         36 Medical beds between 2 inpatient floors

·         The PICU is a 12 bed, soon to be 14 bed unit

·         The NICU is a Level 4 NICU with 41 beds

·         Is part of Geisinger Health System that serves as a regional referral for more than 3 million citizens of central and northeastern Pennsylvania.
