Baystate Health, a Truven® Award–winning healthcare system and home of the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate, is seeking an Adult Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join Baystate Health’s award-winning Heart & Vascular Program.

This opportunity features:

  • A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM. Truven Health Analytics named Baystate Medical Center (BMC) one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals. In addition to our Truven® award, U.S. News & World Report considers BMC high-performing in cardiology and heart surgery and ranked BMC as one of the nation’s top 34 hospitals for 2015-16.
  • HIGH-VOLUME, ROBUST, BUILT-IN REFERRAL SYSTEM. A very high-volume regional primary PCI program and expanding advanced CHF service that supports further growth in electrophysiology, plus a growing and well-established arrhythmia sector that provides a full spectrum of electrophysiology care throughout Western Massachusetts.
  • STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES. Work in a single, state-of-the-art EP laboratory. The EP lab is fully equipped with biplane fluoroscopy, OR sterility airflow and a dedicated staff experienced with ablation and device management.
  • FACULTY APPOINTMENT. A combination of clinical care with fellow, resident, and medical student teaching and an appointment to the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine (an ACGME-approved EP fellowship program complements the program).
  • COLLABORATION. A large, collegial group of electrophysiologists, cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons dedicated to your success and patient-centered excellence.

The Heart & Vascular Program at Baystate Health in Springfield, MA, is among the best in the nation and serves Baystate Medical Center, an academic 700-plus-bed facility, as well as our network of community hospitals. A truly regional cardiac services program, Baystate Medical Center performs more than 80% of cardiac surgery and 95% of the PCI for the residents of Western Massachusetts.
