Director, Center for Health Care Research and Policy Director

The MetroHealth System and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) are seeking an experienced clinical scientist to direct our Center for Health Care Research and Policy.

MetroHealth is a county-owned, academic medical center and tertiary referral center with a national reputation for multidisciplinary research and education in health services, health disparities, health outcomes, clinical effectiveness, and quality improvement.  MetroHealth has enjoyed a continuous affiliation with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) since 1914 and is designated a major teaching hospital of the CWRU School of Medicine (SOM).

The Center for Health Care Research and Policy was established in 1994. It currently has over 30 core faculty and senior scholars across multiple disciplines who contribute to rigorous research programs in population health and health disparities, health care informatics, health economics and policy, and biostatistics and evaluation. The core group has a sustained record of productivity and funding success.

The successful candidate for Director of the Center must have demonstrated effective leadership, strong administrative skills, commitment to education, and a track record of success in securing and sustaining national research funding. Candidates must meet criteria for appointment as an Associate or Full Professor at CWRU SOM.

The MetroHealth System is aggressively restructuring its clinical programs to optimally enhance population health.  Preference will be given candidates who are interested in leading rigorous research to design and measure the effectiveness of interventions that improve population health.
