The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Perlmutter Cancer Center of the NYU Langone School of Medicine invites applications for the position of Director, Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology. The successful applicant will occupy an endowed chair and be appointed as Associate Professor or Professor at the NYU School of Medicine. The appropriate faculty track and associated rank will be commensurate with experience. The Director of GI Oncology will lead and integrate the research and clinical activities in GI medical oncology at the Perlmutter Cancer Center, one of 69 NCI-designated cancer centers in the US. Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD degree and an exceptional record of achievement to join our interdisciplinary research team, which is focused on discovering key mechanisms of gastrointestinal cancer biology and translating these into novel therapeutic and diagnostic approaches. The leader of Gastrointestinal Oncology also will help to facilitate patient care and clinical research at our five satellite campuses throughout the NY metropolitan area, including Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn.
