The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is recruiting for a full-time academic position at the Assistant Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical series. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, physicians, and nurse coordinators in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Program in the United States.

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The incumbent will be expected to provide expert clinical care in the fields of general cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac imaging.

Candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.

This recruitment is conducted at the assistant rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.

Candidates must possess an MD degree or equivalent, be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology, eligible for a California medical license, have expertise in general cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography. and cardiac imaging. Experience teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in cardiovascular medicine, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
