Division Chief of Plastic Surgery - University of Kentucky College of Medicine Lexington, Kentucky

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a visionary Chief with a successful record of achievement in academic medicine and extensive administrative experience. The predominant criteria for appointment as Chief includes the proven ability to deliver excellent patient care while training future leaders in plastic surgery. The successful candidate will also have a record of advancing the field through innovative research and scholarly activity.

The Division of Plastic Surgery currently consists of six faculty, two APRNs, and several staff members. The Division also manages a six-year Integrated Plastic Surgery residency program that matches two residents per year.

The University of Kentucky is one of few universities in the nation to have all six health science colleges (Medicine, Dentistry, Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health) all on one campus and is well-positioned to pursue inter-professional health care education and collaborative research. UK has developed a 20-year, $2.5 billion plan to construct an innovative academic medical campus to advance the growth of research and health education university-wide.

The College of Medicine, located in scenic Lexington, Kentucky, consists of seven basic science departments, 17 clinical departments, and 19 interdisciplinary centers/institutes/programs. The UK Markey Cancer Center was designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in 2013, becoming the only NCI-designated cancer center in the state.
