Is offering an advanced fellowship in Gastrointestinal Motility and Neurogastroenterology. The goal of this one-year clinical and research fellowship is to provide training in the clinical care, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic management of patients with complex motility disorders. At the conclusion of the fellowship, the trainee is expected to be proficient in all standard and novel motility procedures, including high-resolution esophageal manometry/impedance, combined pH/impedance, wireless pH testing, wireless capsule motility testing, antroduodenal manometry, and anorectal manometry. The fellow will also be competent in the clinical evaluation and management of complex functional GI disorders, including achalasia, gastroesophageal reflux, dysphagia, gastroparesis, functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, and pelvic floor disorders. The trainee is also expected to participate actively in research and to present their findings at a major national or international motility conference. Interested applicants should have completed training in internal medicine. Completion of gastroenterology training is desired, but is not mandatory.
