UCLA Seeks Director of Cancer Clinical Genomics and Molecular Pathology

The UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA Health is seeking a physician-investigator to direct its clinical and academic enterprise in clinical molecular diagnostics. Based in the Clinical Genomics and Molecular Pathology Center, the Director will formulate and implement strategy with the academic and clinical leadership of the Department, the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Institute of Precision Medicine.

The applicant will have an MD or MD/PhD degree; post-graduate clinical training in anatomic, clinical pathology, and/or molecular genetic pathology; leadership experience in a clinical molecular pathology/genomics diagnostic lab; and a strong record of translational cancer research and clinical innovation in cancer clinical genomics and/or molecular diagnostics. American Board of Pathology certification Pathology is required and the appointee will need to have or qualify for California medical licensure.

Appointment will be at an academic rank commensurate with the successful applicant's record and accomplishments. UCLA has a rich ecosystem of clinical and basic/translational cancer investigators programs and clinical network. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is an integral part of the vibrant UCLA clinical and research enterprise that includes faculty members with distinctions in Cancer Biology, Genomics, Hematopoiesis, Immunology/Inflammation, Metabolomics, and Stem Cell Biology/Regenerative Medicine.
