The Section of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine is recruiting a board certified/eligible full-time, Assistant or Associate Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join its dynamic team of 16 faculty. Our section is proud to support six talented PEM fellows and we all work closely with five bright and productive PEM advanced providers, 52 EM residents, and 48 Pediatric residents. We have a strong cadre of over 30 PEM nurses.
Scholarship in our section includes research, projects, and curriculum development in the fields of: Injury Prevention, Youth Violence, Outreach, EMS-C, Simulation, Ultrasound, Disaster Preparedness, Recognition of Child Maltreatment, Quality and Safety Initiatives, Medical Education, Clinical Forensics, Toxicology, Global Health, Management of the Febrile Infant, and End Tidal CO2 Monitoring as an adjunct to clinical care.
Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Emergency Department has an annual census of 38,000 and an admission rate of 15%. We are a Level I Trauma Center and we have received designation as a site for Injury Free Coalition for Kids.
