Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) is seeking a Chief of the Computational Oncology Service to lead our efforts in the computational analysis of human genomic data. In the last three years MSKCC has performed prospective clinical tumor sequencing on approximately 15,000 patients with associated clinical and treatment data. The Computational Oncology Service is part of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and is the academic home of the computational cancer genomics activities within Memorial Hospital. This position will have a leadership role in the Center for Molecular Oncology and be responsible for overseeing programmatic and research activities of the Computational Oncology Service. In addition, they will be involved in faculty recruitment, development and retention, and will take a lead role in translational science collaborations between the clinical disease management teams and other translational and basic science researchers at the institution. Candidates should possess interpersonal and collaborative skills, a track record of outstanding leadership, established expertise in bioinformatics, statistics, and cancer genomics, and a national and international reputation as an innovator and leader in cancer genomics.
