Job Details
Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a Geriatric Staff Physician for their WCMG Southbury Practice in Southbury, CT. It is a well-established practice and one of the largest geriatric practices in the state. You will work closely with six physician colleagues and three APRNs in a beautiful community with great shopping and easy access to I-84. It’s a unique practice because you will have the opportunity to take care of patients in the office, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and short term rehab facilities.

Job Summary:
Provide professional geriatric medical care to patients in an outpatient setting as well as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and short term rehab facilities assist them to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with Connecticut Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration
- Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency Medicine and be Board Certified in either
- Have completed a Fellowship in Geriatrics and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatrics.
- Previous experience as a Physician preferred.
Flexible weekday schedules between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm. Full-time position with a minimum 37.5 hours available for patient contact including one Saturday in seven. Shared call responsibilities
