The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor heart failure/ transplant cardiologist to become an active and integral member of the Division. The successful candidate will join an established group of nationally-known cardiologists and surgeons. The University of Florida has one of the largest comprehensive programs for advanced heart failure care in the Southeast and provides the full spectrum of treatment modalities, including multiorgan transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.
The position will include the clinical care of patients with advanced heart failure including VADs and post cardiac transplantation. Protected time is available for candidates with significant research experience or potential. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in teaching and educational programs including medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Academic rank will be conferred commensurate with scholarly and clinical accomplishment.
Applicants must be BC/BE in Cardiology, have advanced training in heart failure and transplantation (board eligibility/certification preferred) and be eligible for medical license in the State of Florida. Physician-scientists with translational or outcomes research expertise in heart failure are encouraged to apply.
