Hospitalist Medical Director Opportunity in the Philadelphia suburbs

The Medical Director will oversee approximately 100 hospitalists throughout Main Line Health’s four acute hospitals located in the beautiful suburbs of Philadelphia. This role will interface with senior leaders across the organization, focusing on strategic development, clinical quality improvement, and transitions of care. Ensuring the highest quality of care to hospitalized patients, this position will also be responsible for the clinical, administrative, fiscal, and operational success of the group.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Day to day medical leadership, supervision, and management of 110+ Hospitalist organization
•    Directly supervises four hospital leads for hospital medicine
•    Supervises physician and department to ensure compliance with Main Line Health’s quality of care, patient care and service standards, and productivity targets
•    Will work as a clinical hospitalist 0.2 FTE

Qualifications:
•    Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without restriction.
•    ACLS Certification
•    Board Certified in Internal Medicine or other appropriate specialty with approval of the Main Line Hospitals
•    Excellent clinical leadership, decision making, and communication/interpersonal relationship skills.
•    Experience in physician recruitment and retention
