INVASIVE CARDIOLOGIST - Unique Opportunity with Great Work Life Balance!
The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) seeks an Invasive (Non-Interventional) Cardiologist to join our team of four FACC Cardiologists. As a Level II Trauma Center, the highest trauma designation in Alaska, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the entire state. With over 30 specialties, ANMC offers a full complement of acute medical and primary care services to our customers.
Our Cardiology Team provides outpatient management and inpatient consults with exposure to advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease. A robust Hospitalist Team allows for a predominately consultative inpatient practice. Complementing the hospital based practice, our physicians provide telemedicine consults using our world renowned Alaska Federal Health Care Access Network – www.afhcan.org and manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout the state. Contracted Interventional Cardiologists perform stenting procedures in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; On call – 1:4 weeks; no evenings or weekends except when serving on call.
Qualifications: BE/BC in Cardiology; desire to serve the underserved; willing to travel across the state of Alaska; team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
