The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine, in affiliation with our university hospital, The University of Vermont Medical Center, seeks a pathologist with expertise in Anatomic Pathology for a full-time faculty position on the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. Strong diagnostic skills with prior sign out experience in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology is preferred. Strong interest and evidence of experience in medical student, resident, and/or fellow education is essential. The applicant should have evidence of academic productivity and will be expected to pursue scholarly activities and/or clinical or collaborative research. The applicant must be Board Eligible/Certified in Anatomic Pathology. Surgical Pathology at The University of Vermont Medical Center processes approximately 39,000 accessions per year, and Cytopathology processes approximately 32,000 gyn accessions and 5,800 non-gyn accessions, approximately 1,700 of which are FNA samples with an active FNA service. The Department also has an ACGME-accredited Cytopathology Fellowship Program, a Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program, and a Student Fellowship Program.
