Advanced Endoscopy Positions Available at the University of Florida
The University of Florida Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, part of UF Health, the Southeast’s most comprehensive academic health center, invites applicants for full-time clinical track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level to pursue an academic career in Gastroenterology. The division seeks individuals with a clinical and research focus in the areas of:
- Advanced Endoscopy: EUS and ERCP skills required
The Division looks to add to a robust program in advanced and therapeutic endoscopy which includes ERCP, EUS, EMR and ESD, POEMs, RFA, cryotherapy, deep enteroscopy, and a growing program in endoscopic anti-reflux and obesity therapies. Clinical duties include focused outpatient clinics, advanced endoscopic procedures, and periodic staffing of the GI inpatient and consult services at UF Health Shands Hospital. Multiple collaborative research opportunities exist in the areas of novel technology, pancreatitis, GI malignancies, biomarker discovery, inflammation and immunity, and the microbiome. Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows is required, as is teaching of fourth-year advanced endoscopy fellows.
The Gainesville region has an inexpensive cost of living, nationally ranked middle and high schools, and superb weather with multiple year-round recreational opportunities.
Minimum requirements: Applicants must have an MD degree or equivalent. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology and eligible for a Florida Medical License. Must have completed a fourth-year fellowship or have equivalent experience.
