ATTENDING PHYSICIAN - ANESTHESIA

The Attending Physician 12 for Anesthesiology and Pain Management is responsible for patient care, resident’s training, daily administrative duties, and will conduct quality assurance projects per the needs of the Anesthesiology Service. The scope of these activities covers hospitalized patients and all phases of ambulatory care. The majority of the anesthesiologist’s time should be devoted to patient care. The time for administrative duties and quality assurance activities will be offered based on the needs of the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be licensed as a physician in the State of Illinois or have the ability to obtain license prior to starting employment
• Must have successfully completed an Anesthesiology Residency training
• Must be Board certified or eligible in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiologist (ABA)
• Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training
