Massachusetts General Hospital, one of the most prestigious teaching institutions in the country at the forefront of cutting-edge care, seeks an Internal Medicine Physician to join The Ambulatory Practice of the Future. This is an unique opportunity to work in a care model that promotes the highest degree of communication and collaboration between patients and the care team at all times. State-of-the-art technology helps conveniently facilitate access to patients via, e-mail, telephone, and video platforms to enable access to the care team when needed. This innovative practice of Internal Medicine Physicians is paving the way to the future of Primary Care medicine for both patients and providers.

AMBULATORY PRACTICE OF THE FUTURE INTERNIST INCENTIVES: 

  •          Excellent compensation package
  •          Teaching opportunity (if residents are available) and faculty appointment of instructor through Harvard Medical School if HMS teaching requirements are met
  •          Emphasis on team-based care - Each team consists of a physician, NP, RN, health coach, and admin staff (clinical partner) to provide care
  •          Flexible schedule - seeking physicians to do 6 - 8 sessions/week
  •          Each physician see 14 - 16 patients per day (2 - 3 patients/hour)
  •          Mon-Fri, no weekends, and very light calls
  •          Provide virtual medical services through e-mail, telephone, and video platforms

APF INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN BENEFITS:

  •          Comprehensive medical/dental plans

ADVANCED PRACTICE OF THE FUTURE PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

  •          Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician
  •          Strong interest in health coaching to empower the patient
  •          Think of patients as “patients with goals” rather than “patients with problems”
  •          Willing to take on extra projects, such as developing clinical programs or quality improvements, etc.
  •          Can balance between quality and cost
  •          Able to provide input and welcome opinions/ideas from all levels of staff members to better quality of service to patients, community, and team.  
  •          Willingness to embrace change
  •          Must be team oriented and open to all cultures
