A hospital in Mississippi seeks a hospitalist who is available to work a five-day locum tenens assignment. This assignment will have the locum working in a 33-bed LTAC facility located within the larger hospital. On the job the locum will see moderate to high acuity cases where patients typically stay 25 or more days. On the required dates the locum will work 7am - 7pm with nighttime call coverage. Patient volume in the unit will be around 12 patients per day, however the locum will have pulmonology and critical care backup should it be necessary. Candidates for this position should be board certified/eligible in family practice or internal medicine and be ACLS certified. No rapid response or responding to codes is required for this position.
