The Department of Veterans Affairs is searching for BE/BC Geriatricians or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine trained physicians with experience in Geriatrics to join their dynamic healthcare team.

Positions are located in Montgomery, AL, Tuskegee, AL and Augusta, GA.

Montgomery/Tuskegee, Alabama - Serves as a Staff Physician with Geriatric Primary Services to provide primary care to elderly veterans in Geriatric (Primary Care) with limited coverage of the New Horizon Community Living Center.  Physicians in Geriatrics are independent care providers who are highly skilled in the management of a patient's primary care needs or subspecialty evaluation and treatment. The physician will remain up to date with the latest medical treatments and procedures.  CAVHCS places great emphasis on the delivery and continuity of GEC&R.

· Provide clinical coverage in outpatient GPC clinics

· Serves as a key clinical resource for matters involving Geriatric services

· Serves as Staff Physician with Spinal Cord Injury Services   

· Provides comprehensive care for our veteran population such as diagnosis, care, and treatment of assigned patients

· Provides effective medical treatment, consultation, and diagnosis upon request from other Services/Departments

· Orders lab tests, x-rays, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures

· Initiates or expedites requests for consults, special tests, or studies

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Salary Range: up to $225,000 per year

A relocation/recruitment incentive may be authorized

The selected candidate may be eligible to apply for student loan repayment thru the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)

Augusta, Georgia - Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

- Serve to admit, provide attending medical care, discharge, run IDT meetings, and supervise PAs

- Serve on the CLC screening committee and work closely with the consult liaison in coordinating admissions to CLC

- Consult inpatient services at the downtown division

- Educate residents rotating from GRU (Georgia Regents University) and DDEAMC (Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center), the local military medical center

- Supervise and collaborate with HBPC

- Attending on downtown wards

Work hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Salary Range: up to $225,000 per year
