A hospital in Maryland needs a neonatologist who can provide four days of locum tenens coverage. This is a level3 NICU where the locum will provide rounding coverage in the nursery for well babies. Required procedures on this assignment will be: intubation, UA/UV placement, PIC placement, ventilator management, catheterization, lumbar punctures, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement. No circumcisions, C-sections, or deliveries are required for this position. On a typical day the locum can expect to see 12 - 13 patients. This facility typically sees around 2,000 deliveries per year. Candidates must be comfortable performing procedures, working independently, and working nights.
