Join an Outstanding Palliative Care Team
Baystate Health, a Truven® Award–winning healthcare system and home of the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate, seeks an empathetic and passionate BC/BE Palliative Medicine Physician to join the Division of Geriatrics, Palliative Care, and Post-Acute Medicine team.
This opportunity features:
- A dynamic, well-established, collegial inpatient consultation team, with outpatient care in the Cancer Center and Heart Failure Clinics.
- Close partnerships with the geriatrics team and the Division of Healthcare Quality.
- Opportunities for professional growth in quality improvement, leadership and education.
- Option to include work in geriatrics or pediatric palliative care for the appropriate candidate.
Baystate Health has made palliative care and geriatrics a primary focus for its strategic plan for 2020. An Acute Care for Elders project won the health system’s quality award last year and the division is leading a multiyear $2.5 million HRSA grant to develop the workforce and design programs which will incorporate geriatrics and palliative care into primary care, the hospital and our hospice programs - further increasing support for the mission of the division.
This is your opportunity to join an organization focused on the future of medicine - one whose physicians and advanced practitioners partner with their patients to ensure a higher state of care and better outcomes. At Baystate Health you’ll experience a deeper sense of compassion, greater breadth of diversity, and a never-ending desire to raise the standard of medical excellence, regionally and nationally.
