Job Details

Cleveland Clinic Akron General (CCAG) is seeking a board certified psychiatrist for teaching and administration in our psychiatry resident clinic. Applicants should have an interest in teaching and supervision, and join the faculty of Northeast Ohio Medical University. CCAG psychiatry is part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, whose Center for Behavioral Health is a growing department with a team of more than 100 behavioral health providers, including more than 50 psychiatrists and more beds than any other facility in the Midwest.

The Cleveland Clinic system is physician-led at all levels, and deeply committed to quality, safety, and patient experience. CCAG is a 532--bed, adult, tertiary care, not-for-profit, teaching hospital that has served the city of Akron for over 100 years. The CCAG psychiatry group includes ten psychiatrists as well as psychologists and APRNs, who manage outpatient, inpatient, and PHP/IOP programs of the hospital. Six to eight residents are assigned to the clinic per year. Call is by phone, about twice a month. Clinic patients are part of a local community mental health center, Portage Path Behavioral Health, which has extensive collaboration with CCAG. The area is a great place to live, with all the benefits of large metropolitan centers, great parks and schools, and low cost of living.
