OUR TEAM
The Intermountain Heart Institute at Intermountain Medical center in Salt Lake City is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist. The successful candidate will join and established team of heart failure/transplant cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and cardiac intensivists with an exceptional multidisciplinary working relationship.
The heart transplant program is an integral member of the Utah Transplantation Affiliated Hospitals (U.T.A.H.) Cardiac Transplant Program consortium since its inception in 1985.
Our growing heart failure clinic is one of the busiest in the U.S. with over 7,500 annual patient visits. The service is supported by nine nurse practitioners, seven nurse coordinators, and a full-time pharmacist. Clinical inpatient and outpatient duties will focus on a full spectrum of management modalities for advanced heart failure including VADs, the total artificial heart, and transplantation. Non-clinical protected time is available for candidates with research interest or potential. The recruited candidate will be expected to participate in activities that enhance program development and education programs.
Intermountain Heart Institute is the premier heart program in the Intermountain West with 46 employed highly-specialized experts in all areas of cardiac care. Our institute is actively involved in cardiac research and has achieved national/international preeminence in various fields with 176 presented abstracts and 173 peer-reviewed publications just in the last three years (IntermountainHeartInstitute.org).
