Rochester Regional Health's Neuroscience Service Line is expanding and is seeking BC/BE Neurologists to join our progressive and expanding organization based in Rochester, New York. If you are dedicated to practicing inpatient neurology, join our growing neuroscience service line.
Rochester Regional Health includes three New York State-certified Primary Stroke Centers. At Rochester General, Unity, United Medical Memorial Center, and Newark-Wayne Community hospitals, specialized stroke teams apply intensive training using the most advanced technology. These physicians, neurosurgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists work seamlessly to deliver nationally recognized stroke care.
- Trained stroke specialists in each emergency department work around the clock to provide rapid assessment and highly effective treatment
- Rochester General Hospital's biplane angiography unit enables complete care for even the most advanced stroke cases.
- Our stroke care program includes the region's only comprehensive Stroke Rehabilitation Unit and other patient-focused rehabilitation services, plus an array of post-discharge follow-up resources.
Neurology Opportunity Highlights:
- Join a comprehensive team of neurologists including endovascular, vascular, neuro-hospitalists, electrophysiologists, and a Memory Disorders Program at the region's busiest neuropsychology practice
- Neurosurgery performed 65% of all cases in the area and the Spine Center sees 2,500 new patients/year
- Approximate schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm depending on the number of consults
- Two Neurologists on each shift and two dedicated advanced practice providers
- Consultative role with 65% representing stroke patients and the other 35% dedicated to all other emergent neurological conditions
- Work with the EPIC EMR system
- Approximately 10 new patients and 8 follow-ups per day
- Call schedule will be 1:5 weekdays (6 pm-8 am) and 1:8 weekends (Friday night through 8 am Monday)
- Weekend and holiday call is compensated in addition to base salary

- Signing Bonus and RVU based incentive compensation
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from accredited medical school or osteopathic program. Completion of specialty residency, subspecialty or post-residency training as applicable.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
Board certification or eligibility. New York State license.
