Regional Chair - Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for the Chair, Ob/Gyn Regional Practice within the Women’s Health Institute.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent record of clinical service and teaching, as well as strong experience in leadership, administration, mentoring, and program development. Ensuring patient access, outcomes, and satisfaction is critical to the position. Board Certification in obstetrics and gynecology is required.

The Women’s Health Institute offers a full complement of subspecialty services that fall within the field of women’s health, from general gynecologic care to complex oncology surgery for gynecologic malignancies. The Institute model has streamlined the care of women, enhanced research opportunities, and improved the education of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Services are available on the main campus, as well as in family health centers and hospitals throughout the region.

The Department of Regional Obstetrics and Gynecology includes 75 general obstetrician & gynecologists located at 21 separate outpatient sites and six hospital sites, including three that provide obstetric services totaling 10,500 deliveries. These obstetric sites have 20 hospitalists that are also the primary responsibility of the department. We have a large midwifery program with 17 certified midwives, as well nine nurse practitioners/physician assistants providing primary care.  The chair is responsible for the quality of practice, patient experience, and access to care, as well as clinical productivity of all the members.

A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
