Summary of Opportunity

The Department of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) is seeking qualified candidates and candidate nominations for a non-invasive cardiology clinical faculty position in support of its clinical practice, academic and research missions. The scope of clinical service will include but is not limited to outpatient office practice and inpatient services such as CICU, primary cardiology service, and inpatient consults. Academic activities include but are not limited to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Temple Cardiologists also support the office-based practice of Temple Cardiology Associates at Temple University Hospital and other off-site centers. Qualified candidates must be trained in echocardiography and in possession of or eligible to receive an unrestricted Pennsylvania State Medical License. Rank and compensation commensurate with experience.

Minimum Candidate Qualifications

  • An MD or MD/PhD with active board certification Internal Medicine and BE/BC in Cardiology.
  • Residency and fellowship training from ACGME accredited programs is strongly preferred.
  • Possess credentials for a faculty appointment at the minimum level of Assistant Professor.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the culture, needs, and aspirations of the community.
