Director of Surgical Services Opening-West Virginia

Seeking an experienced Director of Perioperative Services to oversee a dynamic perioperative management team and delivery of services. Responsible for over 1300 surgical and 475 endoscopic cases monthly, the facility operates 22 operating rooms total and five endoscopy suites.

The position will provide operational leadership of all surgical programs in accordance with national standards, federal and state laws, as well as hospital and departmental policies. Additional responsibilities include development and implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with published standards of care.

The role will maintain expertise in program and financial aspects of perioperative services, including Anesthesia, Pre-Operative, Endoscopy, Pre-Admission Testing, Operating Room, PACU, Sterile Processing, and off site eye and surgery centers.


Job Requirements


To be successful in the role, the incumbent must have the following skills and experience:

•At least 5 years' experience in a management/ leadership role in a high volume inpatient and outpatient surgical setting

•Management degree highly preferred

•Strong communication and team building skills; ability to facilitate cohesive, amiable, and productive working relationships among all groups involved in perioperative services

•Ability to appropriately evaluate service line indicators that include clinical outcomes, customer satisfaction, physician leadership, market share, competition, and financial performance
