Faculty/Transplant Infectious Diseases
The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System is seeking to recruit a clinical faculty member to fill a Transplant Infectious Diseases position in its Division of Infectious Diseases. The University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System is in one of the largest medical complexes in the U.S. and has a College of Medicine, School of Public Health, and College of Pharmacy in close proximity to each other and to the Outpatient Care Center and the affiliated Veteran’s Administration Medical Center. This provides excellent collaborative opportunities for career development in clinical care, teaching, and clinical investigation.
The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System performs abdominal solid organ and hematopoietic cell transplants and the successful candidate will work well in multidisciplinary teams involving surgeons, oncologists, other medical subspecialists, and support staff to enhance clinical programs and research efforts.
The successful faculty candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Diseases and will have additional experience and expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients who have undergone transplantation and those who are immunosuppressed as a result of hematology or oncology diagnoses. Faculty rank/tenure will be commensurate with experience.
