Summary of Opportunity

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University announces the search for a BC/BE academic Nephrologist to join the faculty. There are currently 14 faculty members in the Section of Nephrology who care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of diseases and fully support a broad spectrum of kidney diseases, renal transplantation, hypertension, kidney stones, and fluid and electrolyte disorders.

This opportunity entails clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient areas with involvement in the teaching and mentoring of Nephrology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and Temple University medical students. This position is suitable for a nephrologist who has expertise and interest in managing and integrating home therapies into an active nephrology practice in an academic setting. The successful candidate will be board eligible/board certified in Nephrology and interested in pursuing or continuing a career in an academic environment. Rank and compensation commensurate with experience.

Candidate Qualifications

•    An MD (DO) or MD/PhD with board eligibility or board certification in Nephrology.
•    Experience with home therapies is perfered.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
