PLASTIC SURGERY-WILKES BARRE

  Geisinger Health System is seeking a BC/BE Plastic Surgeon to join its growing practice at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Medical Center, located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity to practice in one of the leading health care systems in the nation that is known for innovation and quality care.  Join our team of two physician providers and two mid-level providers supporting the plastic surgery program in both clinic and OR settings.

 

About the Position:

•Provide a broad range of services including: cosmetic surgery, body contouring, breast augmentation, breast lift, abdominoplasty, face lift, liposuction, eyelid lift, brow lift, maxillofacial trauma, cancer and trauma reconstruction, breast reconstruction and microsurgery

•Implementation of Cool Sculpting System in Feb 2016, addition of Vaser Liposuction technology within next 11-18 months

•Enjoy the benefits of a fully integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR)

•Benefit from an established reconstructive and cosmetic referral base, generated from Geisinger and outside/private practice physicians and surgeons

•Primarily a clinical position. Opportunities for research and program growth exist.

 

Geisinger is seeking a hardworking, energetic surgeon to work collaboratively with peers and other multidisciplinary providers, mid-level and specialty staff (licensed and non-licensed), with excellent communication skills and a focus on improving patient access and patient satisfaction.  

 

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV), located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., is an acute care hospital that is licensed for 274 beds, and houses the only Level II Trauma center in Luzerne County. The campus includes the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center, The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital, the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Unit, a transplant program and the Brain & Spine Tumor Institute.
