Seeking Inpatient & Outpatient Psychiatrist

Holy Spirit – A Geisinger Affiliate is a south-central, 20-doctor hospital based psychiatric program seeks a board eligible psychiatrist who is interested in a full time position involving inpatient and outpatient work.  Our Behavioral Health Services is a full service department of a 325 bed community hospital and provides a full continuum of care consisting of inpatient, partial hospital, outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy, and case management service. Enjoy an area near NYC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. and a relatively low cost of living. 

 

A south-central, 20-doctor hospital based psychiatric program seeks a board eligible psychiatrist who is interested in a full time position involving inpatient and outpatient work.  This Behavioral Health Services is a full service department of a 325 bed community hospital and provides a full continuum of care consisting of inpatient, partial hospital, outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy, and case management service. The inpatient responsibilities of this position would involve working on a 19 bed short term acute care unit. The time commitment for the inpatient position would be six (6) hours a day working with the treatment team to provide Attending Psychiatry service to up to an average of nine (9) patients. 

 

The outpatient service of the Center provides general adult psychiatry and psychotherapy services. The position involves providing two (2) hours a day of general adult psychiatry service to a variety of outpatients.  The current treatment expectations are to provide 80 minute psychiatric evaluations to new patients and 30 minute medication checks to routine patients 

  

On-call would involve 1 weekday every two weeks and 1 (3 day weekend) every 12 weekends  

Full time benefits including 4 weeks of paid time off; time off and additional compensation for CME  

A salary range is market driven which may increase with an incentive based compensation for outpatient services.
