Geisinger Health System is seeking a board certified/board eligible, Emergency Medicine trained physician for Geisinger's Emergency Departments in the Central Region (Danville, Bloomsburg & Shamokin). Join a team of experienced Emergency Medicine staff Physicians and enjoy additional Advanced Practice Provider coverage. Work closely with Geisinger’s elite team of Emergency Medicine Residents and participate in ample teaching opportunities throughout the year. Practice state-of-the-art medicine with excellent sub-specialty backup. Practice high acuity, hands-on medicine in the region’s only Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center or in one of Geisinger's small community hospital settings, just minutes from our main campus in Danville, Pa. The Geisinger Medical Center Emergency Department, Danville, Pa., is the busiest in the region with over 40,000 visits annually. The department houses a total of 34 rooms (28 monitored) including a Resuscitation Bay, 5 fast track beds, and an 8 bed observation unit. The Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital Emergency Department, Bloomsburg, Pa., sees over 16,500 visits annually. The department houses a total of 13 beds and is only a 15 minute drive from the main campus in Danville. The Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital Emergency Department, Coal Township, Pa., sees over 18,000 visits annually. The department houses a total of 9 beds and is a community practice site for Geisinger's Emergency Medicine residents.
