Geisinger is seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine trained Hospitalists to join our Hospital Medicine Department at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) in Danville, PA.

Hospitalist Medicine at GMC, which boasts 21 residency and 17 fellowship programs, is at the center of our innovation, education and research enterprises. The Department of Hospital Medicine consists of a team of over 150 Hospitalists and 50 Advanced Practitioners providing inpatient services at 10 hospitals in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania. 

A Hospitalist position with Geisinger provides you with a comfortable work schedule and quality time to care for patients. Schedules are flexible. Nocturnist and swing shift opportunities are available.

A newly revised compensation and benefit plan is highly competitive with national market based benchmarks. Compensation is not based upon productivity or incentive metrics.  The emphasis on competitive compensation is directed toward recruitment and retention of individuals who want to provide patient-centered, high quality medical care who are committed to the needs of our patients and the organization. Geisinger Medical Center (GMC),located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.  GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region’s only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women’s health (in the Women’s Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics.  The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
