  The Orthopaedic Institute at Geisinger Health System is seeking an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon for Geisinger Wyoming Valley campus, located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Our system-wide Institute is staffed with nearly 40 fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialists and is home to the leading Level I tertiary referral center in the region.   At Geisinger you can take advantage of ongoing enhancements to our fully-integrated Electronic Health Record, allowing physician easy access to patient registries, test results, electronic prescriptions, etc.

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV), located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., is an acute care hospital that is licensed for 243 beds, and houses the only Level II Trauma center in LuzerneCounty. The campus includes the Frank M. and DorotheaHenryCancerCenter, The Richard and MarionPearsallHeartHospital, the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Unit, a transplant program and the Brain & Spine Tumor Institute. Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre is GWV’s ambulatory campus.

Geisinger Medical Groups (GMG) consists of 43 community practice sites throughout our service area. These office locations provide primary and specialty care. In conjunction with Geisinger Health Plan, the Medical Groups staff offers their own unique version of medical home.

Geisinger-Community Medical Center (G-CMC), Scranton, Pa., offers a complete continuum of educational, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services and programs. G-CMC is home to Lackawanna County’s only Level II Trauma Center and Scranton’s only adult, in-patient behavioral health unit. Other programs G-CMC provides include: a comprehensive cardiac service line including open heart surgery; orthopaedic services including the NewSteps joint replacement center; and a broad range of other surgical services and radiological services for men and women.
