Geisinger Health System is currently seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine trained Hospitalist to join our Hospitalist Service at Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton, PA.  


Geisinger-Community Medical Center (GCMC), offers a complete continuum of educational, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services and programs. GCMC is home to Lackawanna County’s only Level II Trauma Center and Scranton’s only adult, in-patient behavioral health unit. Other programs GCMC provides include a comprehensive cardiac service line including open heart surgery, orthopedic services including the NewSteps joint replacement center, and a broad range of other surgical services and radiological services for men and women. Accredited as a Chest Pain Center and a certified primary stroke care center, GCMC is home to an expansive range of clinical and surgical services, including cardiac care, neurosurgery/neurology, and general surgery.


A newly revised compensation and benefit plan is highly competitive with national market based benchmarks. Compensation is not based upon productivity or incentive metrics.  The emphasis on competitive compensation is directed toward recruitment and retention of individuals who want to provide patient-centered, high quality medical care who are committed to the needs of our patients and the organization.
