Emergency Medicine, Associate – Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital (Bloomsburg, Pa.)Geisinger Health System is seeking a board certified/board eligible, Emergency Medicine trained physician for Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, located in Bloomsburg, Pa.Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital’s Emergency Department, which was recently renovated, houses 12 rooms (10 private, including one behavioral health room, 2 semi-private rooms and one negative pressure room) and 6 hallway “disaster” beds. The department handles approximately 19,000 visits annually, serving a largely rural/suburban population with a sizeable university mix 9 months out of the year. At the hospital, surgery, OB, hospitalists, a psych unit, and radiology with ultrasound, CT, x-ray, and MRI are available 24 hours a day.
