Geisinger Health System is seeking a BC/BE psychiatrist to join Geisinger Wyoming Valley to build a collaborative, dynamic psychiatry practice in a community hospital setting. Opportunities exist for both inpatient consultative practice to the hospital and developing a select outpatient practice. Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV), located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., is an acute care hospital that is licensed for 243 beds, and houses the only Level II Trauma center in Luzerne County. The campus includes the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center, The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital, the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Unit, a transplant program and the Brain & Spine Tumor Institute. Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre is GWV’sAcademics is a strong focus within Geisinger and our Psychiatry Division offers an ACGME accredited residency program, now in its second year, in nearby Danville, Pa. Our Psychiatry Residency program provides well-supported educational programming and CME. This brand new position to grow a new psychiatry practice at Geisinger Wyoming Valley offers opportunities to teach Family Medicine resident’s onsite.
