PHYSICIAN MEDICAL DIRECTOR - PRIMARY CARE

  Geisinger Health System, a national leader in primary care and population health, is seeking dynamic physician leader to oversee the clinical excellence and administrative initiatives of a department comprised of four outpatient Primary Care clinics and twenty-eight providers, located in beautiful Schuylkill County. The primary work site will be based in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, a community that offers a low cost of living, excellent public schools, numerous outdoor and cultural activities, and easy access to several cities including: Allentown (45 miles), Harrisburg (55 miles), Philadelphia (96 miles) and Reading (36 miles).

The successful candidate will possess:

•             Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Med-Peds (40% clinical responsibilities)

•             Strong clinical background and business acumen

•             Excellent communication skills

•             Successful track record in primary care and specialty integration in a multispecialty group practice environment

•             Successful record of leading quality initiatives in a group practice setting

•             Working knowledge and experience in practice leadership in a population health/medical home environment
