Job Details

Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute announces a search for an Adult Neuropsychologist to join our dynamic and growing Neuropsychology section. The successful candidate will join the staff of the Neuropsychology section at Cleveland Clinic, which currently consists of 10 neuropsychologists, 2 postdoctoral residents and several practicum students.

This position is primarily clinical and was created to address growing demands for our General Adult Neuropsychology service. The service evaluates patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions (multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders, stroke, epilepsy, brain tumor, movement disorders, concussion, and others), mood and anxiety disorders, medical conditions and general cognitive concerns. The clinical practice model is based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, fully supported by psychometrist administered testing. There is a strong educational component to the position, and the successful applicant will play a role in the supervision of postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in our APPCN member program. Other teaching opportunities include supervision of practicum students and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in many disciplines. In addition to clinical and educational roles, collaborative research activities may be developed based on applicant interest. The successful applicant will be appointed to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience.

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA or CPA accredited psychology program, an internship with experience in neuropsychology, and a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology. Eligibility for licensure in Ohio is essential. Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology is strongly preferred.

The Cleveland Clinic is ranked the #2 hospital in the nation in this year’s US News & World Report, including a #6 ranking for the Neurological Institute. As the largest employer in Northeast Ohio, with over 42,000 employees, the Cleveland Clinic is able to offer outstanding benefits and support for professional development. There is a constant focus on innovation and leadership in healthcare, and the Neurological Institute works closely with the Innovations group at Cleveland Clinic to facilitate the development of new tools and techniques.

Interested candidates, please include a letter of interest along with your up-to-date CV.
